Tama WP148BK-BOW Woodworks 14"x8" Snare Drum, Black Oak Wrap
✅ PERFECT FOR
Drummers who want a deeper, punchier snare with a bold, all-black aesthetic — ideal for rock, metal, and heavier styles where a deeper shell delivers more body and projection, players who want a snare that commands attention both sonically and visually with the striking Black Oak Art Grain wrap, or any drummer looking for a versatile, well-built snare that delivers warmth, snap, and character at an outstanding price point.
Why Choose the Tama WP148BK-BOW Woodworks Snare Drum?
🥁 8-ply poplar shell for warm, full, resonant tone — The lightweight 8mm, 8-ply 100% poplar construction delivers a full, warm sound with a medium attack — providing the clarity and character that comes across in every stroke, from controlled ghost notes to powerful backbeats, across virtually any genre or playing style
🎵 14"x8" deep shell for extra body and projection — The deeper 8" shell adds more air volume and resonance compared to standard 5.5" or 6.5" snares — producing a fuller, more powerful sound with greater sustain and a distinctive low-end character that cuts through dense mixes with authority
💪 Black Oak Art Grain wrap with matte black hardware — The bold Black Oak Art Grain wrap paired with an all-matte-black hardware finish creates a sleek, unified aesthetic that looks as powerful as it sounds — a stage-ready snare that makes a statement without saying a word
🔥 20-strand carbon steel Snappy Snare wires for crisp snap — Fitted with Tama's 20-strand carbon steel snare wires, the WP148BK-BOW delivers a crisp, snappy response that adds definition and articulation to the warm poplar tone — giving you the best of both worlds in a single drum
🌟 Triple-flanged hoops and MUS65A/B throw-off for tuning stability — The 8-hole triple-flanged hoops and durable MSL60S lugs ensure consistent tension distribution and excellent tuning stability across a wide range of pitches, while the MUS65A/B throw-off system makes quick snare adjustments effortless during live performances
