The Evans BD22EMAD2 is a 22-inch clear bass batter head built on the industry-proven EMAD2 platform — the choice of touring and studio drummers who demand a powerful, focused kick tone without sacrificing low-end depth. Its dual-ply construction pairs a 6.5mil outer ply with a 10mil inner ply, delivering enhanced attack, punch, and durability that holds up under heavy playing. The externally mounted adjustable damping (EMAD) system lets you dial in exactly the right amount of muffling — from open and resonant to tight and controlled — without ever reaching inside the drum.
