Elixir 12027 Nanoweb Coated Nickel Plated Electric Guitar String 0946

The Elixir 12027 Nanoweb Nickel Plated Steel electric guitar strings deliver a bright, balanced tone with the extended tone life Elixir is renowned for. Custom Light gauge (09-46) offers effortless playability, easy bending, and low string tension — the go-to choice for lead guitarists, beginners, and players who prefer a lighter feel without sacrificing tone. Wrapped in Elixir's ultra-thin 5-micron Nanoweb coating for long-lasting performance.

Why Choose Elixir Nanoweb

Most uncoated electric strings begin to lose their tone within days as sweat, dirt, and corrosion build up between the windings. Elixir's Nanoweb coating seals the string windings with a micro-thin layer that resists this buildup, keeping your strings sounding fresh for significantly longer. The Nanoweb coating also reduces finger squeak — ideal for recording sessions — while maintaining a natural, uncoated feel under the fingers. Players consistently report Elixir strings lasting 3–5x longer than standard uncoated strings.
