Description

The Allparts PC-0733-028 is a cream humbucker pickup ring set with a curved (radiused) bottom and slanted sides — designed specifically for carved-top electric guitars such as Gibson and Epiphone Les Pauls, where the arched body top requires a ring with a matching curved underside to sit flush. Includes one short neck ring and one tall bridge ring. Compatible with most standard-sized humbucker pickups.

Curved Bottom — Required for Carved-Top Guitars

This is the most important distinction when selecting pickup rings for a Les Paul-style guitar. Gibson carved-top guitars have an arched body top — a flat-bottom ring placed on a carved top will rock or sit unevenly, leaving gaps between the ring and the body. The PC-0733-028's curved (radiused) bottom is shaped to match the arch of a standard Gibson-style carved top, allowing the ring to sit flush and stable. If your guitar has a carved or arched top, this is the correct ring geometry. For flat-top guitars, see the PC-0743 (slanted, flat bottom) or PC-0745-028 (non-slanted, flat bottom).

Slanted Sides — Angled Pickup Face

The slanted sides angle the pickup face toward the strings, providing correct pickup-to-string distance across all six strings. Both the neck and bridge rings are slanted, with the bridge ring being taller overall to account for the greater string-to-body distance at the bridge position.

Compatibility Notes

Compatible with most standard-sized humbucker pickups (Seymour Duncan, DiMarzio, and similar). Not compatible with EMG active pickups (which use EMG-specific mounting rings) or certain Epiphone-specific pickup sizes. Confirm your mounting hole spacing (81mm centre-to-centre) before ordering.
