Straight vs Angled — Which Toggle Switch Do You Need?

Switchcraft makes two toggle switch variants for Gibson-style guitars — straight and angled — and selecting the correct one depends on your guitar's body thickness and switch cavity depth:

• Straight toggle (EP-4367-000) — designed for thicker-body guitars such as the Les Paul, where the switch cavity is deep enough to accommodate the straight switch body. The switch shaft exits the body perpendicular to the top. This is the correct switch for most Les Paul and ES-335 style guitars.
• Angled toggle (EP-4369-000) — designed for thinner-body guitars such as the SG and ES-175, where the shallower body depth requires the switch body to be angled to fit within the cavity. Using a straight switch in a thin-body guitar will result in the switch body bottoming out before the nut can tighten.
