Oak Grigsby is the manufacturer behind the 5-way blade switch used in most American-made Fender Stratocasters — the same switch that has been the benchmark for Stratocaster pickup selection for decades. Oak Grigsby switches are known for their precise detent positions, reliable contact, and robust construction. If your Stratocaster's switch is intermittent, scratchy, or has lost its positive detent feel, replacing it with a genuine Oak Grigsby switch restores the original switching performance. A significant upgrade over generic import blade switches that use lighter contact materials and less precise detent mechanisms.

5-Way Blade — Standard Stratocaster Pickup Selection

The 5-way blade switch provides the five standard Stratocaster pickup positions: bridge alone, bridge + middle, middle alone, middle + neck, and neck alone. The in-between positions (2 and 4) combine two pickups in parallel, producing the characteristic Stratocaster quack tones associated with positions 2 and 4. This is a direct replacement for the standard 5-way switch on most Stratocaster and Stratocaster-style guitars.
