The Allparts AP-0720 is a replacement string tree (string guide / string retainer) for electric guitars — maintaining correct string break angle over the nut for improved tuning stability, consistent string pressure, and better sustain. A direct replacement for worn or missing string trees on Stratocasters, Telecasters, and most other electric guitars that use a round string tree. What a String Tree Does

String trees are small guides mounted on the headstock between the nut and tuning pegs — they apply downward pressure on the strings (typically the high E and B strings, sometimes also G and D) to ensure the strings seat correctly in the nut slots and maintain a consistent break angle. Without adequate string tree pressure, strings can pop out of the nut slots during bending or vibrato use, causing tuning instability and buzzing. A worn, bent, or missing string tree is a common and easily overlooked cause of tuning problems on Fender-style guitars.

By maintaining consistent downward pressure and string-to-nut contact, the AP-0720 helps strings return to pitch accurately after bending and vibrato use, and contributes to more consistent sustain and tone across the affected strings.
