🎸 Difference Between No-Load and Regular Pots
🔹 Regular Potentiometer:
Always part of your guitar’s circuit, even when the knob is turned to maximum.
This means there’s always a tiny bit of resistance or “load” on your signal.
Slightly reduces brightness or high-end tone (not always bad, depends on your taste).
🔹 No-Load Potentiometer:
Works like a normal pot until it reaches the maximum setting.
At full rotation (“10”), it disconnects itself from the circuit — like it’s not there at all.
Gives you pure, direct signal from the pickups — brighter, cleaner tone.
💡 In short:
Regular pot = Always connected, slightly warmer tone.
No-load pot = Disconnects at max, brighter & more open sound.
